GENERAL INFORMATION
The first set of postage stamps after the restoration of Independence of Lithuania was issued on 7 October 1990.
All Lithuanian stamps are related to Lithuania. They depict the history, culture, nature and the daily life of the country. Every year Lithuania Post issues 25-
Each year continuous sets of postage stamps "Signers of Independence Act", "Famous People", "Coats of Arms", "From the Post History", "Technical Monuments", "From the Stocks of Museums" are issued. The postage stamps devoted to the Red Book of Lithuania picture the vanishing species of plants and animals. The most important sport events in the world and Lithuania are also pictured on Lithuanian postage stamps. Since 1993, every year the Postal Administration of Lithuania has been issuing issues a set of postage stamps "Europe".

PHILATELIC PRODUCTS
A special first day cover is put into circulation for every new issue, on which the new stamps are cancelled with the first day cancellation. For each new set of postage stamps, excluding definitive stamps, a first day sheet is being issued having a postage stamp stuck on it, cancelled with the first day cancellation and a short description of a stamp's theme. Maximum cards are issued for some sets.
Lithuania Post marks more important events or dates with special cancellation, the number of which is up to 20 per year.
In 2001 Lithuania Post started the issue of aerogrammes and in 2002 the issue of postal stationery cards.
At the end of each year, a complete year set of postage stamps is issued in an elegant folder. The folder contains information about the motif, the issue date, the artist, the edition, the face value and the printing house of each stamp.
GENERAL TERMS OF DELIVERY
An order will be delivered after the receipt of payment. Should an order include products that have not yet been released, it will be delivered only after the release of all items ordered. Orders are sent free of postage in registered letters. A handling fee of 4 LTL is charged for each order or standing order delivery.
The exchange rate is 1 EUR = 3,4528 LTL.

With a standing order you will have all news from Lithuania Post delivered easily and quickly. Fill in a standing order form carefully and be sure that you will not miss a single item. Each subscriber receives our "Express Information" with detailed information on actual issues, as well as a review of next quarter's issues, four times a year.
The general terms of delivery are valid for standing orders.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
1. Credit cards: Visa, Eurocard and MasterCard. Simply state the type, number, date of expiry and 3 control numbers of your credit card. Please inform us of any changes in you credit card information immediately.
2. Bank cheques should be payable to Lithuania Post. A bank fee of 25 LTL for redeeming a cheque must be added to the amount payable.
3. International Money Order should be payable to Lithuania Post.
